Cool Air ~ YIPPEE~!!!!

Finally!! Today about 2:00 we had cool air going through the house!!! They promptly arrived at 8:00 (I was already to call if they were not there as they said). But they showed and got to work. Around 11:00 they left. And left a mess I need to add. During this time I had to do a little detective work for mama and daddy. Last week they had their blower taken from under the carport. Daddy went looking at the pawn shops and reported it to the sherrif's department. In doing this, he found out that they also hit the assistant D.A.'s house. Well today, I kept seeing this black truck slowly go up and down our road. I got up and looked to see where it was going the next time it passed and it turned into my parent's drive! Well, under Faye's instructions to watch their house since I am home for the summer, I grabbed my car key and cell phone and took off to their house. I pulled in the drive and the truck was parked by the shop. When I got out the window rolled down and it was the Joe Skeens himself. They are determined to catch the crooks. He laughed but was glad I was on the lookout. Several houses have been hit and they take lawn equipment so watch out!!

Well back to my day.....they came back around 12:00 to finish up the installation. During this time, I completed NUMEROUS forms for name changes. I finished up one photo album, had lunch and then began to tackle the mountain of gifts. We received a lot of duplicates so things are going back! I mean, I could feed 50 people on my new everyday china. By 2:00 they had finished and we had cool air going so I placed Zoe in her crate and went to town for some errands. I exchanged several things at McCurdy's and then went to the grocery store. Came back home and organized the cabinets in the china and linen closets. Then I took Zoe outside to play since she needed to get some of her energy out!

By this time Brett called to tell me he was on his way home. OOPS! I had lost track of time and not even started dinner. Got that going and now we are relaxing in our comfy den. Brett just said he was cold......guess the new unit is working pretty good.
