Luke Bryan Concert

I really did enjoy my four day long weekend. It was nice to relax and come back to only a three day week!!! Monday night we went to the Luke Bryan concert in Claxton at Hurricane Branch Farms. Rawls, a friend of mine from college, was approached by Luke himself (fraternity brothers) and GAC to film a country music video and have a concert at the farm. The song released, Welcome to the Farm, was fitting for the surroundings. Despite the rain that seemed to down pour all day Monday the concert was a success. Over 2,500 tickets were sold and we got a copy of his new CD when we went in through the gate.
I had planned on getting there around 6:00 so we could see some old friends and of course Luke. BUT, Brett ended up working later than planned because by the time we got there all the rain had stopped. The only thing that was left was a great deal of mud!!
I did get to see a lot of friends, some that I haven't seen in a while. We had a really great time and the crowd was not too bad! It was a blessing that I didn't have to work Tuesday seeing that we got home at midnight! Rawls said that they are planning on hosting another concert very soon - Jason Aldean and Zack Brown! That will be a great time too and we can't wait!!
