Well, since Brett and I do not yet have a child we can spoil Darcy. I know that she is a dog, but she's like a child and Brett has become just as attached. Today Darcy turned 8 years old....or should I say 64 - the grey is really starting to show on her!! She had an eventful afternoon while I mowed the lawn and washed the car. I saw her eat a bee and play with many lizards. She did not par-take in my yoga workout like she did yesterday. She layed around and just watched me. Probably wondering why I was practically on my head for so long. This P90X is a killer but hopefully the results will be worth it.
For dinner I cooked crabcakes and a salad. Brett and I both wanted something light. Since it was Darcy's birthday she got half of a crabcake. It was devoured rather quickly!! For dessert (since it is her birthday) we had mini cupcakes. Darcy ate two! It was rather funny. She'd lick the top and then enhaled the entire thing at once. Now with a full belly she is asleep beside Brett in the comefy chair.
I am so glad spring break is hear. I have a lot to do this week - stuff for the wedding. I am sure it will go by a lot quicker than I want.
4sure! Spring, Christmas sand summer breaks are the shortest weeks of the year.
ReplyDelete*LOL* Kelly, I feel you! We do have kids to spoil & still, our Pepe' has a birthday party, complete w/cake & guests, too. It's okay. They're family, too.
